Hello, Mrs Hg137 here.
It has rained this weekend. And rained and rained and rained some more. So we haven’t been out caching. We would get soaked reaching any caches – assuming the roads and paths weren’t flooded – and the cache container would be wet and muddy and hard to retrieve.
Instead of a caching trip, we’ve been taking part in the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch (www.rspb.org.uk) where we counted 11 different species and 21 birds during our hour of counting, doing some extensive spring-cleaning in the utility room (it seems at least twice the size now!) and planning some caching trips for the near future. Our two top prospects are the ‘Pig & Whistle’ series between Petersfield and Farnham and another group of caches in and around Calcot, near Reading.
Shame we didn’t we go caching … did we tell you it rained ?
