During our walk between Shillingford and Cholsey, we found two trackables.
The first was “Biltmore or Bust”.
Many trackables are sent on their way for fun – this trackable was slightly different. Although its current mission, like many others, is “to travel the world” – its first mission was to visit Biltmore in North Carolina.
The reason for this was to commemorate, Jen, a friend of the trackable’s owner. A trip to Biltmore (a hotel built in 1896 in the style of French chateaux) was planned but sadly Jen never made it. A combination of stomach flu/breast cancer (hence the ‘bust’) meant that Jen never completed the trip or its rearranged date.
The trackable reached Biltmore on 2/2/14 just under 18 months after starting its commemorative journey.
Since reaching Biltmore, it has travelled to Alaska, France and Britain’s smallest city, St David’s in West Wales.
We will drop this trackable closer to London in a few walks time.
